The Haunted Hollow

I've taken a brief hiatus from the wonderful world of Tolkien in favor of something more seasonal.

 As one of the earliest instances of American literature, Washington Irving's chilling short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has endured as a classic Halloween story for generations. Having grown up watching the Disney cartoon adaptation featuring Bing Crosby I looked no further than the tale of the headless horseman for inspiration.
